Stay on target Everyone already knows that McDonald’s has some of the best fast food fries you can get around the world. They don’t really need anything to pep them up, and they’re even good without sauce. But let’s face it, a bunch of meat and cheese on top of them like some sort of tasty McDonald’s nacho fries can’t hurt, right? The latest creation from McDonald’s Japan comes in the form of the “Try Pour Some Cheese Bolognese” fries, which are McDonald’s french fries covered in a warm, meaty bolognese sauce and delicious cheese. The Italian twist with the chunky, meaty sauce and the melted cheese will give the french fries a spaghetti-like lilt, with tomato and cheese and acidic deliciousness mingling with the fries and create a symphony in your mouth. It sounds a lot like replacing the spaghetti noodles with fries, and that’s all I need to know about totally digging in. I’m trying to watch my carbs, McDonald’s Japan! Why do you do this to me?2/28(水)の発売まであと3日チーズとろとろ、ひき肉の食感ごろごろの贅沢なソースをかけて楽しむ、マックフライポテトに #カケテミーヨ チーズボロネーゼ pic.twitter.com/ZRxSRdywVV— マクドナルド (@McDonaldsJapan) February 24, 2018The “Try Pour Some Cheese Bolognese Fries” are making their debut in McDonald’s in Japan starting February 28 through the end of March. You can nab them alone or with a combo including a drink, or you can have them as part of a meal with a burger or sandwich for 100 yen more than the 390 yen fries or 490 yen combo. These look like the kind of decadent treat you’d want to have on their own though, perhaps.McDonald’s Japan keeps coming up with delicious combinations of foods like these fries, sakura floats, and other awesome flavors, and meanwhile, we get Shamrock Shakes and the McRib. Come on, America. You can do better than that, right? Otherwise, we’ll just have to get our Big Macs in Japan.
